  I went recently and had a chance to try a handful of things.  I thought the menu had a great variety of things at a reasonable price and the service was great.  Below are the things we tried in order of preference:
  
  Gyro - probably my favorite item ; It comes with fries and you get a lot of meat ; in the future I may ask for extra tzatziki on the side
  
  Chicken Kebab - I would def. get this again.  The meat was flavorful and tender. Comes with a side salad I believe (that may go with the Gyro), as well as some grilled veggies and rice.
  
  Manti - Imagine Ravioli stuffed with tons of meat and onions
  
  Borsch - Beet soup ; Every at the table really enjoyed this
  
  Sambusa - great flavor (pastry with a beef/lamb filling)
  
  Humus + Pita - solid flavor; nothing mind blowing but I always like hummus
  
  Chaikhana Bread: cross between a kaiser roll and a warm bagel

  It's 3 1/2 stars, but I'm rounding up because they are friendly, and so much like an anti-chain, that I'm rooting for Chaikhana to make it.
  
  We went on a Saturday night when the Huskers were losing to Ohio State.  The game was on but with no sound.  Pleasant, casual ambiance.
  
  On the plus side, hummus with the Chaikhana version of Naan was very good.  I loved the minty lemon salad dressing.  Trish is not much of a salad person so I got a double serving, yay!
  
  The chicken dish I ordered was two tiny leg and thigh hindquarters sections.  Difficult to eat.  Trish had a chicken kabob.  The spices were nice but it appeared to be dark meat.  Prefer breast meet on a kabob.
  
  Glad that we tried it.  Anyone who likes Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food should visit, but perhaps order different dishes than the ones we had.

  Amazing interior. I loved the decorations. The server was very nice and attentive. I just wish the food was better.
  
  Appetizer: Sambusa
  Beef, lamb, and mushrooms in a bread roll with sesame seeds. It comes with a sauce that is a tad spicy but necessary with the meat bread roll. It reminds me of an upgraded Runza. My grandma said she wouldn't order it again because she isn't sure what kind of meat it is (ahah, lamb and beef, y'all!). It was OK!
  
  The main meal... chicken kabob plate or something. I'm sorry to break it to everyone, but it wasn't great. The chicken tasted fake... or just super fatty. It was chewy, looked odd, and not great overall. The flavor was there, but the meat was not. The piece of lamb we were given to try was really good.
  
  We both left happy to have tried something new but saddened that it was not good. We ate the veggies but left to buy some ice cream from Walmart to fill our bellies. I won't be back.

  Ordered Chicken Kebab.
  
  It's tender and well marinated, but a bit salty for my taste. It could also use some lemon/lime. Be sure to ask for some lime to go with your chicken kabob -- I felt like it was missing something & I've had better. The sides dishes that come with it -- rice, bread, & sautéed veggies -- are real good. The portion is also filling & worth the price!
  
  Even though I wasn't blown away by the food, the portion, customer service, interior decor, & reasonable price earns a 4 star from me :)

  This new place will be on list to go back again. They have good flavours. Tried their bread which is more like a bun with a twist. Lamb kabob was yumm. The hummus platter is worth the try if you are a hummus fan. Tried chicken shawarma, not the best shawarma Ive had. If you are a fan of shawarma this might disappoint you. The ambiance is really different.
